Terms of Service
Version 1.1 · Effective 14 April 2026 · Last updated 14 April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Speakto suite of products — including SpeaktoNotes, SpeaktoClients, and SpeaktoFinance — across all platforms (iOS, Android, macOS, and web), operated by Speakto ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in New Zealand.
By creating an account or using any Speakto product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our products.
1. The Speakto Suite
Speakto is a suite of three interconnected applications:
- SpeaktoNotes — AI-powered voice-to-text transcription and note structuring
- SpeaktoClients — Client communication and CRM automation
- SpeaktoFinance — Financial tracking and information tools
All three products share a common backend infrastructure. References to "Speakto" or "the Service" in these Terms apply to all products collectively.
2. Accounts and Access
2.1 You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
2.2 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your password and any two-factor authentication credentials. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised access.
2.3 We offer free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features require an active subscription. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are displayed at the point of purchase and governed by the applicable app store or payment processor terms.
3. Cross-App Data Flow
3.1 The Speakto suite operates on a shared backend. If you use more than one Speakto product, data may flow between them to provide integrated functionality — for example, a transcription in SpeaktoNotes may generate action items routed to SpeaktoClients or financial entries sent to SpeaktoFinance.
3.2 You can manage cross-app data sharing through your account settings. Our Privacy Policy describes what data is collected, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.
4. AI-Generated Outputs
4.1 Speakto uses artificial intelligence to generate transcriptions, summaries, enhancements, insights, and other outputs ("AI Outputs").
4.2 AI Outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI Outputs before relying on or acting upon them. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any AI Output.
4.3 AI Outputs do not constitute professional advice of any kind. See Section 5 for specific disclaimers regarding financial information.
5. SpeaktoFinance — Not Financial Advice
5.1 SpeaktoFinance is an information and organisational tool only. It is not a financial services provider, licensed financial adviser, tax agent, or legal adviser.
5.2 Nothing in SpeaktoFinance constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. All figures, summaries, and categorisations are for informational purposes only.
5.3 You must consult qualified professionals for financial, tax, or legal decisions. Speakto accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on SpeaktoFinance outputs.
6. Third-Party Integrations
6.1 Speakto offers optional integrations with third-party services, including Google (Calendar, Gmail, Drive), Apple (Calendar, Contacts), Microsoft (Calendar), Notion, and others. Connecting a third-party service is voluntary and occurs only with your explicit authorisation.
6.2 When you connect a third-party service, your use of that service remains governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policy. In particular, when you connect a Google account, your use of Google services is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
6.3 Speakto's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Details of the Google scopes we request and how we handle Google user data are set out in Section 5.1 of our Privacy Policy.
6.4 You may disconnect any third-party integration at any time through the Service settings or through the third party's account controls. Disconnection immediately invalidates our access tokens and blocks further access.
6.5 Speakto is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services, or for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such services.
7. User Responsibilities
7.1 You are responsible for:
- The accuracy and legality of all data you input into Speakto, including data exchanged through connected third-party integrations
- How you use, distribute, or act upon any outputs generated by Speakto
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Ensuring your use of connected third-party services complies with those services' terms
7.2 Speakto does not verify, audit, or validate user-input data. We process what you provide and are not liable for outputs derived from inaccurate inputs.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Speakto for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service except through our published APIs
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Use data received from any connected third-party service (including Google user data) in a manner that violates the terms of that service, including using such data for advertising, marketing, resale, or for training generalised AI/ML models
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 You retain ownership of all data and content you input into Speakto.
9.2 We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights in the Service — including software, design, branding, and documentation — remain with Speakto.
9.3 You grant us a licence to process your data solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
10.1 The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10.2 We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- AI Outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
- Third-party integrations will remain available or function as expected
- Defects will be corrected within any specific timeframe
10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law (see Section 13).
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speakto's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of:
(a) the total fees you paid to Speakto in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
(b) AUD $100.
11.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speakto is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability.
11.3 These limitations apply even if Speakto has been advised of the possibility of such damages. They do not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law (see Section 13).
12. Termination
12.1 You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
12.2 We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms, or for any other reason with reasonable notice.
12.3 Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Any connected third-party integrations will be disconnected and associated tokens revoked. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below, and we will process the request in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
12.4 Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9, 10, 11, and 13) will survive.
13. Governing Law
13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
13.2 Australian users: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or any other applicable Australian law that cannot be excluded by agreement. If the Australian Consumer Law applies, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, where permitted, to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
13.3 If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
